Stephen Bezruchka worked for over 10 years as an accident and emergency doctor in USA. He also spent over 10 years in Nepal working in various health programs and teaching in remote regions. He tries to draw attention to the socioeconomic determinants of the health of populations. He is a senior lecturer in the University of Washington, researching the relationship between inequality and health, how to change societal structures to improve America's health, and promoting awareness of medical harm.
