Poison Fire is a documentary film which looks at the damage done by multinational oil corporations (especially $hell) since the discovery of oil in the Niger Delta in 1956. It was made to publicise the plight of the residents of the Niger Delta in the face of gas flaring by oil companies and oppression by the local military and corrupt officials. As well as footage of the pollution in Nigeria and interviews with locals, it includes covertly filmed video footage of the $hell AGM, and cuts backwards and forwards between footage of the AGM and comments by Nigerians about it.
