A writer and social activist, Heather Menzies graduated in sociology in 1970. She has been a self-employed writer, conference speaker and lecturer since 1980. She has written numerous articles, and 7 books, including the 1996 best-seller, Whose Brave New World?

Her most recent book No Time, is an ideas book -- a piece of speculative non-fiction. Heather is a long-time activist in the women's movement, social justice and cultural politics. She has served on the board of the National Council of the Canadian Writer's Union on three occasions.
