Into Eternity is a haunting and reflective film about the difficulties faced by the builders of the Onkalo Nuclear Waste Repository in Finland. Considering the difficulties we face understanding the Egyptians' inscriptions from a few thousand years ago, how likely is it that our warnings about the dangers of nuclear waste will be understood and respected a few thousand years from now? What about 10,000? Or 100,000 years from now -- a minimum length of time the waste repository must remain sealed? | |||||||||||
