John McMurtry

John McMurtry Occupation Professor

John McMurtry is a moral philosopher and ethicist who works at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He is a firm anti-capitalist and advocate of the anti-globalization movement. He has studied the value systems of the "ruling group mind". McMurtry writes that the global free market is "inefficient and life-destructive" in proportion to how unregulated it is, and believes systems should take into account "life-capital".
