From a wealthy background, Genevieve Vaughan grew up in Italy. She became interested in her husband's research into language as exchange, but developed her own theory of language as gift. After becoming a radical feminist, she has written several books on the gift economy, including For-Giving, which was read on the show. She is using her wealth to try to promote her vision of a gift economy, such as by organising international gift economy conferences, and through her website at http://www.gift-economy.com See Also
