Download Hour1 Download Hour2Last week's ruling by the US Supreme Court that campaign finance laws abridge the first amendment rights of corporations serves to demonstrate why the issue of citizen organizing to bring down corporate rule is a prerequisite to effectively dealing with almost every societal problem because it goes to the core issue of the power to decide how we want to live.
We start our first hour with a 40 minute interview with Richard Grossman, founder of POCLAD, on the strategies used by corporations to break down citizen's legal and psychic defenses as the sought to expand their control over all areas of life. We then continue reading from Defying Corporations, Defining Democracy. In our second hour after a famous speech from the Network ("You have meddled..."), we read The Journal of Corporate Citizenship, an article by Jim Price. We conclude with a talk by Thomas Linzey on resisting corporate domination.
